Rising to the Challenge of a More Sustainable Future by GE Aerospace

Vidya has been with GE for over 15 years. She started her career in the Research organization in the Combustion & Kinetics lab and moved to GE Aviation in the Services Engineering Organization after 5 years. In this role, she supported the development of in-region technologies such as dust testing, foam wash industrialization & on-wing inspection technologies for blade inspection. She then led the short-haul analytics team supporting the CF34, CFM56 & LEAP product lines. Subsequently she was selected into the XLP (Accelerated Leadership Program) program rotating with GE9x Certification testing, Commercial operations and CFM56 product support engineering. Since graduating the program, Vidya relocated to India to lead the Advanced Technology teams supporting core sciences & design software.

 

Vidya graduated from IIT Madras with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. She completed her Masters & PhD from Washington University in Saint Louis and was a post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University prior to joining GE prior to joining GE.
